ABOUT POTTER’S DAUGHTER
Potter's Daughter began in 2020, but is the amalgamation of years of work. Sarah, previously a teacher and academic, sold antique and vintage clothing and made quilt coats previously as One Woman Textile Co. In order to finish her Ph.D. in education, Sarah stopped her small businesses. A cross-country move, family health struggles, and a pandemic caused Sarah to reevaluate her priorities.
After a praying and asking God to send her direction, Sarah had a dream of picking up and making coats again and imagined a space that would share her love of pottery, slowly made hand goods, and a quiet, simpler life.
Thus, Potter's Daughter was born. It has become a place filled with the work of Sarah's hands and the work of the hands of her friends.
This little shop is seeking to answer Sarah's God-given call to love and serve others. By making beautiful and utilitarian objects for you and for your home, slowly and sustainably, Sarah hopes to encourage her clients to seek peace, find stillness, and be good to others.
All of the items at Potter's Daughter have been created lovingly and with you in mind. From the heritage quilts Sarah preserves to the heirloom quilt coats and the thoughtfully crafted home goods, each item is intentionally crafted to bring you joy.
Sarah often says she does this for you, but she also does it for her daughters. She wants them to know that they too can make a life by the work of their hands, if they chose to.
It is good and noble work.
Welcome, friends.
